Riding Camp

3-Day Intensive Horse Riding Camps

Join us for 3 days of fun and learning about horses!

Camps run from 10am-4pm daily; lunch provided. The day will consist of 2 riding lessons, stable management, and FUN!

Beginner Riding Camp is for those who have only ridden a handful of times or may have never ridden at all! This camp is a great way to start the learning journey with horses. It is critical to build a solid foundation of basics in new riders. The professional staff at VEC will ensure that your start your journey with horses in a manner that you feel confident in your abilities and have a strong understanding of safety.

Intermediate to Advanced Rider Camps are for those riders who either owned or have owned their own horse, lease a horse, or have/are taking regular lessons. In this week of camp we will dive into the more technical aspects of riding, working to build strong riders who problem solve and ride with purpose and compassion for their equine partner. The instructors will cover topics such as how to improve your horse's movement, which discipline is best suited to you/your horse, maximizing your competition success, and will teach many tips and tricks on horse training.

Introduction to Jumping Camp is for riders who have either just started jumping (crossrails to around 2'3) or would like to learn how to jump. Riders must have prior riding experience and have an independent seat in the walk, trot, and canter. We do have several lesson horses that jump, but they are limited (so claim them quick!). Riders are encouraged to bring their own horses and tack if available.

Lesson horses are available or bring your own horse. If you are bringing your own horse a pen/stall will be provided, but you will need to bring your own hay and water buckets. You will also need to bring a current (6 months) negative coggins test.
